Advanced Player Classes

These classes are designed to get the most out of your junior’s current abilities.  Classes are designed for those juniors that are ready to take their games to the next level. Does your junior want to start playing in competitive tournaments?  Does your junior want to get ready to play High School golf? Does your junior already play High School golf and now wants to be the number one player on the team?  We have the right classes for you.

We have different advanced player classes for every season.

Spring:  Classes begin with an annual assessment class so that we can ensure that your junior is in the correct class.  This allows our instructors and juniors to get the most out of every class.  This will be followed up with four instructional classes preparing your junior for the upcoming summer season.

Summer: Play and compete in a team format while continuing to receive weekly instruction from a qualified coach. The Players’ Club has different teams that are located at different courses throughout Denver. Each team has a coach, an assistant coach, and between 10-15 players. The season kicks off with a pairings party where the players are assigned a team and a coach for the season. With their team participants have 2 practices a week in preparation for the weekly tournaments. These weekly events include a Par 3, 9-hole, and 18-hole tournament that rotate from course to course each week. These different types of tournaments allow us to encompass a variety of different skill levels, while still maintaining a fun and competitive environment. By getting to play on the course in a tournament setting each week the kids get to learn golf skills and the rules of the game while also learning core values like sportsmanship and integrity. At the end of the summer there is an awards banquet to honor the hard work of the participants throughout the season. Prizes are awarded to the top teams and individual performers at each level. 100% of the tournament fees go toward prizes and the awards banquet. The First Tee of Denver’s Players’ Club provides a unique opportunity for participants who are ready to play the regulation golf courses.

Fall/Winter: Four instructional classes that will focus on things to work on for the following Spring.  These classes will be followed with a fun end of the season tournament.

During the non-playable winter months we will have special events and volunteer opportunities.  Opportunities have consisted of trips to TOP Golf, Bowling, Golf Expo, care packages to support our troops and Park cleanup days.
